Come and discover the Singapore Tax Story at the IRAS Gallery that brings you on a journey through the ages ever since Singapore was founded in 1819. It takes you back to the beginnings of tax through a detailed timeline that stretches through to the present. Get interesting facts on who was the first to introduce taxes in Singapore; when were the different types of taxes introduced; how did the administration of tax transform itself over the past 60 years and more.

Interactive displays where you can literally open filing cabinets, flip over flip-cards and pull out files from shelves, as you delve deeper into the Singapore tax story.

Interesting artefacts from the tax department in the past, such as the tax collector’s must-have kit, old computer disks, embossing machines, stamps and more.
undefined  Interactive games that will challenge your skills and knowledge of Income Tax, GST and Property Tax, and find out if you have what it takes to play the role of a tax investigator pursuing tax evaders!

 

Location

IRAS Gallery is located on the 1st storey of Revenue House, 55 Newton Road (Opposite Novena MRT Station). The public is welcome to visit the IRAS Gallery from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Mondays to Fridays, and 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Saturdays. Admission is free.

Guided Tours

The public can send their requests for guided group tours (max 30 pax) to iras@iras.gov.sg or call 6351 2076 to book your tour one week in advance.
