Payments

There are many convenient ways to pay your tax.

Join GIRO to pay by instalments 
Property Tax for the year is payable by 31 January each year, e.g. property tax for 2010 must be paid by 31 January 2010. Taxpayers who pay their property tax by GIRO can however enjoy up to 12 monthly interest-free instalments. The deduction date for property tax is on the 5th of each month.

There are several ways to sign up for GIRO:
• Online GIRO application via Internet Banking (for DBS/POSB and OCBC customers)
• Online GIRO application at AXS stations (for DBS/POSB customers)
• Hardcopy GIRO application form

Electronic Payment Modes
• Internet Banking 
To pay online, visit your bank’s website (select Bill Payment) DBS/POSBUOBHSBCMayBankStandard Chartered BankState Bank of India 

• Phone Banking 
Phone-Banking service is available if you maintain a bank account with DBS/POSB, OCBC or UOB and have subscribed to this service.

• ATM 
Pay your tax at DBS/POSB or OCBC Automated Teller Machines.

• AXS 
Pay your tax using acceptable cards at any AXS station.

• SAM 
Pay your tax with a NETS-enabled ATM card at any Singapore Post Self-service Automated Machine.

• vPOST 
vPOST is an online website service offered by Singapore Post.

The eNETS Debit and eNETS Credit tax payment services have been discontinued since 15 March 2010.  We are sorry for any inconvenience caused.  For eNETS Debit payment service, if you are a DBS/POSB or UOB bank customer, you can still pay online via Internet Banking (select Bill Payment) at the banks' websites.  Taxpayers can also use any of the electronic payment modes listed above.

Cash/ NETS 
At any Singapore Post Branch to make an over-the-counter payment. 

Cheque/ Cashier's Order 
Pay with cheque or cashier's order from any bank in Singapore.  Please attach the payment voucher with your cheque payment and write the tax reference number on the back of your cheque so that payment can be updated to the tax account. 

Telegraphic Transfer 
Payment by telegraphic transfer is not encouraged unless you are not able to make payment via the payment modes listed above.
