Workshops and Seminars on Corporate Tax

This seminar is specially designed to help participants understand how businesses can benefit from the Productivity and Innovation Credit (PIC) scheme and the key Budget 2012 changes affecting businesses.

The PIC scheme was first introduced in Budget 2010 and further enhanced in Budget 2011 and 2012, in response to industry feedback and to provide more support for businesses to invest in innovation and productivity.  The PIC provides tax benefits for businesses that invest in innovation and productivity improvements.  Businesses can enjoy deduction/allowances at 400% or receive up to $60,000 of cash payouts.  The tax benefits under PIC apply from Year of Assessment (YA) 2011 to YA 2015.

The qualifying activities are acquisition or leasing of PIC Automation Equipment; training of employees; research and development; registration of intellectual property rights; acquisition of intellectual property rights; and design.

In addition, the Singapore Budget 2012 has also introduced a series of other tax measures to help businesses.
