Individuals (For locals)

If you have received the No-Filing Service (NFS) letter or SMS from IRAS, you do not need to submit an Income Tax Return, unless you have additional income to declare or changes to make to your personal reliefs. If there is no change in your circumstance, you need not file a tax return.

You will receive a tax bill (Notice of Assessment) based on your relief claims for last year, and the income details sent to us by your employer participating in the Auto-Inclusion Scheme (AIS) for Employment Income. The infographic below summarises your filing obligations under NFS and AIS.

Alternatively, you can check your filing requirements through SMS or check your tax filing requirements tool  (44KB) .
