Payments

There are many convenient ways to pay your tax.

Join GIRO to pay in instalments
GIRO is convenient as you do not have to worry about payment due dates. Property Tax for the year is payable by 31 Jan each year, e.g. property tax for 2012 must be paid by 31 Jan 2012. Taxpayers who pay their property tax by GIRO can however enjoy up to 12 monthly interest-free instalments.

There are several ways to sign up for GIRO:
• Online GIRO application via Internet Banking (for DBS/POSB and OCBC customers)
• Online GIRO application at AXS stations (for DBS/POSB customers)
• Pre-filled GIRO form on the Payment Voucher sent with your Tax Bill (for DBS/POSB, HSBC, OCBC and UOB customers)
• Hardcopy GIRO application form

Electronic Payment Modes
• Internet Banking 
To pay online, visit your bank’s website (select Bill Payment) DBS/POSB  HSBC  MayBank  OCBC  Standard Chartered Bank  State Bank of India  UOB   (Only HSBC, OCBC, Standard Chartered Bank and UOB are applicable for Corporate account holders).

• Phone Banking 
Phone-Banking service for DBS/POSB, OCBC and UOB account holders who have subscribed to this service. (Only UOB is applicable for Corporate account holders.)

• ATM 
Pay your tax at DBS/POSB or OCBC Automated Teller Machines.

• AXS 
Pay your tax using acceptable cards at any AXS station.

• SAM 
Pay your tax at any Singapore Post Self-service Automated Machine.

• vBOX 
vBOX is an online website service offered by Singapore Post. (Applicable for Individual account holders only.)

Cash/ NETS 
At any Singapore Post Branch to make an over-the-counter payment. 

Cheque/ Cashier's Order 
Pay with cheque or cashier's order from any bank in Singapore.  Please attach the payment voucher with your cheque payment and write the tax reference number on the back of your cheque so that payment can be updated to the tax account. 

Credit Card
Some banks/ credit card companies offer options to pay tax via credit cards. Please approach your bank or credit card company for the option.

Telegraphic Transfer 
Payment by telegraphic transfer is only for payments from overseas and the payment modes listed above are not applicable.
