Annual Bill

You need to pay Property Tax for the whole year by 31 January every year if you are not on GIRO.

Property tax is payable yearly in advance. At the end of each year, IRAS will send you a property tax bill for the following year.

Example:

You receive a Property Tax bill on 15 Dec 2008 for year 2009 Property Tax.
Due date for payment is by 31 Jan 2009.

Other Property Tax Notices

The due date for payment of these Property Tax notices is 1 month from the date of the Notice.

During the year, IRAS may send another bill to you when the need arises. Some of the reasons are :

  • An assessment has been raised on your new property; or
  • The Annual Value of your property is being revised due to market rental changes or additions and alterations, etc.
