To check the owner for property tax purposes

You may use the IRAS e-Valuation List  (EVL) e-Service to search for the “owner for property tax purposes”. You will need to pay $2.50 (inclusive of GST) per search. Payment can be made by CashCard, VISA or Mastercard.

A self help (DIY) EVL terminal is available at the Taxpayer Services Centre, 55 Newton Road, Revenue House. The same search fee applies.

More information on EVL and User Guide.

To check the legal owner of a property

The Integrated Land Information Service (INLIS)  provided by the Singapore Land Authority (SLA) can be used to find the “legal owner” of a property. You can find more information about this service from the SLA website .

Is the “owner for property tax purposes” different from the “legal owner”?

Under the Property Tax Act, an "owner" is the person receiving rent for the premises whether on his account, or as an agent/trustee/representative of the legal owner; or the person whose name is entered in the Valuation List. Thus this "owner" may or may not be the legal owner.
