The IRAS Scheme of Service (IS) is a single scheme of service where all officers can progress upwards to higher-level jobs based on his/her ability, performance and readiness for the next level.
An officer’s qualification and experience will determine the grade an officer joins IRAS. Fresh university graduates will join at IS Grade 7 and fresh diploma holders will join us under the Technical Gratuity Scheme and move to IS Grade 6 after 3-year service with IRAS. Diploma officers who joined us under the Technical Gratuity Scheme will be given a gratuity payment of $12,000 at the end of their third year of service.
