vBOX is a 24-hour online website service offered by Singapore Post. You can now pay your taxes via vBOX. This service is available to individual account holders.
Making Payment
First, you need to open an account at vBOX website. Once your account is ready, you can access vBOX website and select IRAS as the billing organisation to make payment.
You can pay online by signing up for the GIRO-On-Demand plan by vBOX. To pay via GIRO-On-Demand, you need to instruct your bank to allow you to pay via the vBOX website. The Application for GIRO-On-Demand form will also authorise SingPost to instruct your bank to pay IRAS once you have activated the "Pay by GIRO-On-Demand" instruction on vBOX website.
The GIRO-On-Demand offered is slightly different from the current GIRO service offered by IRAS. It will not deduct a fixed amount on a fixed date monthly. Instead, it is a standing order which you have made with vBOX, which will only be activated upon your initiation of the payment. Payment amount will be deducted through your bank account for this one-off payment. In this way, you will have better control on your cash flow.
Your payment will be posted into the tax account within three working days after payment is received.
