Stamp duty

When you seek the opinion of the Commissioner of Stamp Duties on the duty amount chargeable, you are making an application for adjudication.

You do not need to submit documents for adjudication unless specifically required by the Commissioner of Stamp Duties or by law (For instance, for Stamp Duty Relief application, you are required to submit documents for adjudication).

If you submit documents for adjudication, adjudication fee and valuation fee (relating to a property valuation, if applicable) will be charged. The adjudication fee and valuation fee must be paid even if you subsequently decide not to proceed with the intended transaction.
