Enhanced SingPass system was launched in July 2015 to include an improved user interface, mobile-friendly features and stronger security capabilities, such as 2-Step Verification (also known as 2FA), for sensitive government e-transactions

Complete one-time update of your SingPass account now

  • Provide and verify mobile number and email address
    You have to select your preferred mode
    of contact (SMS or email) so that you will receive SMS or email notifications whenever changes are made to your SingPass profile (e.g. password, mobile number, SingPass ID).

  • Set up security questions and answers
    You will be prompted to set up at least two security questions and answers. This is so that you can reset your password online easily by answering the security question.



 2FA (2-Step Verification)

From5 Jul 2016, you will be required to enter a One-Time Password (OTP) sent via SMS to your mobile phone or generated by your OneKey Token, after you logged in to myTax Portal and EASY using your SingPass ID and Password. This serves as a second level of authentication to better protect your personal information.

Register and activate your SingPass 2FA now, so that you can continue to access IRAS’ e-Services, such as filing of tax returns or viewing of tax bills, after 5 Jul 2016.


How to set up your SingPass 2FA:


Check that you have successfully set up and activated your SingPass 2FA.

  • Request for a new PIN mailer password

If you did not receive or have misplaced your PIN mailer, you have to SMS to 78111 using the mobile number registered with your SingPass account in the following format:


Resend pin mailer<space>NRIC<space>Postal Code

(e.g. Resend pin mailer s1234567a 503518)


A new PIN mailer will be sent to your registered address within seven working days.
