Defer Tax Payment for Individual Income Tax

For All Non-Self Employed Persons

From 26 March to 31 July 2020, you can opt to defer your income tax payments due in May, June and July 2020, to help ease your cash flow.

Sign up for this deferment option here. Only one application is needed.

Once your request to defer the payment is approved, this arrangement supersedes any due date indicated on your tax bill (NOA) or SMS.

This deferment does not apply to non-Singapore citizen employees who have sought tax clearance and employees of foreign employers.

How does the deferment of income tax payments work?

If you are paying by GIRO

There will be no GIRO deduction in May, June and July 2020 if you apply for the deferment before 27th of the previous month. Your income tax deduction will resume in August, September or October 2020 and the end-date of your instalment plan will be extended by 3 months. The amount of income tax payable remains the same.
