Singapore and Portugal signed a protocol to incorporate the internationally agreed Standard for the exchange of information for tax purposes, upon request, in their standing Agreement for the Avoidance of Double Taxation (“DTA”).

The protocol was signed in Singapore between Mr Masagos Zulkifli Bin Masagos Mohamad, Minister of State for Home Affairs and Foreign Affairs and Mr Jose Cesario, Secretary of State of the Portuguese Communities.

The full text of the protocol will be made available here (PDF, 20KB). The Protocol will enter into force after its ratification by both countries.
