Telegraphic Transfer

If you are not in Singapore or only maintain an overseas bank account, IRAS may accept payment by Telegraphic Transfer (TT).

Making Payment

IRAS Bank account details:

Payee: Commissioner of Inland Revenue
Account Type:DBS Current Account
Account No.: 0010468669
DBS Swift Code:DBSSSGSG
DBS Bank Code:001

You should remit your payment in Singapore dollars so that the amount is not affected by exchange differences and it can fully settle your tax liability.

Information Required for TT

You must indicate the Tax Reference Number or 14 digits Payment Slip Number for the respective tax types under Beneficiary Reference/ Purpose of Payment/ Remittance Information/ Payment Details field to avoid delay in the processing and posting of the payment: eg. A1234567B Income Tax.

Processing Fee & Charges for TT

Bank processing fee and other agent bank charges are applicable when you make a Telegraphic Transfer.

To ensure that the full amount of tax payable is remitted to IRAS, please notify your bank that Telegraphic Transfer/ other agent bank charges are to be borne by the applicant and not the beneficiary.

Your remittance should include the bank charges as advised by your overseas bank and the intermediary bank in Singapore, if any. Otherwise, the amount remitted may not be sufficient to cover your tax.

Enforcement actions may be taken to recover any overdue tax.

Processing of Payment

Depending on the currency, country and the agent bank used, payment may be received by IRAS within 10 - 21 working days. Your payment will be posted into the tax account within five working days from the date of receipt, if you provide the information as indicated above.
