Invoicing, Price Display and Record Keeping
Invoicing Customers
Tax invoices, customer accounting tax invoices, receipts and credit notes are common documents issued when billing your customers. These documents serve as important records of business transactions between you and your customers.
Displaying and Quoting Prices
GST-registered businesses must display and quote prices inclusive of GST. If both GST-inclusive and GST-exclusive prices are displayed, the GST-inclusive price must be displayed at least as prominently as the GST-exclusive price.
Keeping Records
GST-registered businesses must keep proper business and accounting records for a period of
five years
to support GST declarations.
