Benefits of GIRO

GIRO is an electronic cashless mode of payment.

You do not have to spend time queuing at payment kiosks.

No more late payment

You will not miss the payment due dates.

Interest-free instalments

You get to enjoy up to 12 monthly interest-free instalments, or opt for annual GIRO deduction.

Faster tax refund

You receive tax refunds faster as it will be credited directly to your bank account, eliminating any risk of misplaced cheques.

Electronic Payment Modes

Credit Card

Check with your credit card issuing bank if they offer any payment scheme to pay income tax via credit card. You can also use MasterCard (Credit or Debit cards) to pay tax on AXS e-Station over the internet or AXS m-Station mobile app. Credit card payments are not offered by IRAS directly because of the high transaction costs charged by the credit card service providers. This is to keep the cost of collection low to preserve public funds.

Telegraphic Transfer

Telegraphic Transfer is only for payments from overseas and the payment modes listed above are not applicable.
