Bulk request for extension of time to file Individual Income Tax Returns for YA 2026
IRAS will allow an extended due date of 30 Jun 2026 for all tax agents to file your clients’ individual income tax returns for Year of Assessment (YA) 2026. Tax agents are advised to plan your resource requirements to meet this extended due date as no further extension will be granted.
All bulk requests for extension of time to file must be submitted via FormSG. Your requests will be processed in batches and the extended due date will be reflected in your clients’ myTax Portal account, under ‘Tax Matters at a Glance’.

How to submit a bulk request for extension of time to file?
Tax agents can submit a bulk request by sending the list of their clients in an Excel template (XLSX, 118KB) to go.gov.sg/bulkextension between 23 Feb 2026 and 18 Apr 2026. Requests submitted after 18 Apr 2026 or via other channels will be disregarded.
Please note that each Excel template can only accommodate up to 1,000 client IDs.
Your requests will be processed within 4 weeks and you will be informed via email if the extension has been granted. The extended due date will be reflected in your clients’ myTax Portal account, under 'Tax Matters at a Glance'.
If your firm has not been authorised by your client to access their account, you may request your client to use the new 'Manage Tax Agent Authorisation' digital service to grant you access.
Failure to file returns by the extended due date
Where returns are not received by 30 Jun 2026, estimated assessments will be issued. Penalties will also be imposed for late filing.
How to obtain a paper copy (duplicate) of the Income Tax Return for YA 2026?
We encourage you or your clients to e-File where possible. If there is a need to obtain a paper tax return (duplicate) for your clients, you can submit a request via go.gov.sg/ta-requestpapertaxreturns from 23 Feb 2026. Requests submitted via other modes such as email or by post will not be accepted.
Photocopied / scanned copies of tax returns
IRAS will not accept photocopied or scanned copies of tax returns. A tax return is a statutory declaration which must bear the original signature of the taxpayer.
