FAQs
If you have selected “No”, this indicates that the information displayed is incorrect. You will then be asked to provide the complete list of sole-proprietorship businesses owned by your company so that the Business Profile can be updated.
If your company does not own any sole-proprietorship businesses, “NIL” will be displayed in Question 1 of “Main Form – Business Profile” section. In such case, please select “Yes” to confirm that the information is correct.
If your business requires a license but you have not applied, please do so before submitting your GST registration application. You will be required to upload a copy of the license, permit, or approval document as a supporting document in the application form.
You should select the date which you expect your taxable supplies to exceed S$1 million in the next 12 months.
For example, if you have secured a tender on 31 Dec 2025 with more than S$1 million value, for a project to be invoiced by the next 12 months, you should indicate 31 Dec 2025.
If there is no certainty in your forecast, you should select “No”. You will be considered as registering for GST voluntarily.
Please refer to Factors to consider before registering voluntarily for GST for more information.
If you do not have plans to make taxable supplies yet, you should NOT register for GST now. That is why when you select “No” and click “Proceed”, you will be redirected to the main page.
Please register for GST only when you have a firm business plan and can provide documentary evidence to support your intention of making taxable supplies or that you are operating a business.
