Information for lawyer/legal professional
IRAS will be launching an enhanced version of myTax Portal (mTP) on 12 Aug 2024 to provide a seamless and intuitive tax filing experience through newly designed interfaces and improved digital services. Given the various enhancement, the filing of Notice of Transfer will be temporarily unavailable from 4 Aug 2024 to 12 Aug 2024, 8a.m.
For property transfers that are due within this period (i.e. 4 Aug 2024 to 11 Aug 2024), the due date will automatically be extended to 19 Aug 2024 (i.e. additional 5 working days after 12 Aug 2024), and no penalties will be imposed. Please refer to the EDM containing further details on the system enhancements and service downtime.

Online Filing Service 'Update Property Ownership'
Lawyers are able to file the Notice of Transfer on behalf of the sellers/transferors via mytax.iras.gov.sg (Log in for Client Notice of Transfer with Singpass) at no cost.
To provide greater convenience, we have simplified the form to dynamically display the fields required for entry. For common scenario like transferees who are Singaporeans, once the correct NRIC number is entered, IRAS would be able to retrieve the name of the transferee from our database and updated in the records accordingly. Hence you are not required to key in the name of transferee in the Notice.
Information required for filing includes:
- Sale and Purchase Agreement;
- Identification numbers of the transferors/ transferees*;
- Citizenship and Dates of Birth for non-Singapore Citizens; and
- Names (according to the identification documents) of non-Singapore Citizens.
*For correspondence and payment, IRAS will correspond with the owner who is listed first in the Notice of Transfer.
Once your Notice of Transfer has been transmitted via the online service 'Update Property Ownership', you will see an on-screen acknowledgement.
