AIS employers should inform their employees, including directors that they must file an Income Tax Return if they receive a letter, form or an SMS from IRAS informing them to do so.

AIS employers should inform their employees, including directors that they are still required to check and submit their Income Tax Returns if they have received a notification to File Income Tax Return from IRAS.

Employers may inform their employees on their filing obligations using either of the following options.

  • How do employees verify the amounts submitted by the employers?

    Employees are able to verify the employment income information submitted by the employer in myTax Portal.
  • What should employees do if they entered their employment income and deductions when filing their tax returns?

    Employees should inform IRAS to review their case via myTax mail. Employers should remind their employees to enter "0" for employment income and deductions (made through their salary) as the information has already been submitted.
