Submit Employment Income Records

This page lists the various ways for employers to submit the employment income records to IRAS electronically.

Submit with Payroll Software (API)

IRAS partners payroll software vendors* to facilitate employers' preparation and submission of the employment income information. Employers are strongly encouraged to use payroll software integrated with the AIS Application Programming Interface (API) Service. The API service will provide employers with a convenient and efficient way of submitting records to IRAS directly through their payroll software.

Payroll Software with AIS API Service

It is suitable for employers who:

  • use payroll software to manage their employment income information; and

Are you an SME not yet using payroll software?

We strongly encourage you to adopt payroll software under the SMEs Go Digital (SGD) programme by tapping on the support from the Productivity Solutions Grant (PSG), Start Digital Pack and/ or Digital Resilience Bonus available now. Interested employers can refer to the IMDA website for more information.

In the List of Supporting Payroll Software Vendors, vendors who have integrated digital solutions pre-approved under the SGD programme are indicated with a caret (^), while vendors participating under Start Digital are indicated with a hash (#).

Alternatively, you can uninstall (PDF, 616KB) the existing version in your computer before downloading the latest version from IRAS’ website.
    • Will other authorised staff or third party be able to see my submitted records at myTax Portal?

Details of the records submitted using the Validation and Submission Application/ Offline Application will not be displayed at myTax Portal. Only the submission date and time will be shown.

For records submitted using the Submit Employment Income Records at myTax Portal (Online Application), only authorised staff or third party will be able to view the details.

    • Some fields in myTax Portal under Submit Employment Income Records (Online Application) / Offline Application do not accept decimals.

    • There is a '.bak' and '.working' file in the same folder where I saved my Profile in the Offline Application. What are these files?

The '.working' file (e.g. 'Test1.profile.working') is a temporary file created by the Offline Application when you open your Profile. This file is deleted when your Profile is closed.

The '.Bak' file (e.g. 'Backup_of_Test1.bak') is a backup of your Profile. You may use the file to retrieve the data that you have prepared should your Profile become corrupted. Please do not delete the backup file.
