Conditions for remission
- Buyer acquires an additional interest in a single residential property which the buyer already has an existing interest in.
- The buyer is a relevant individual who is:
- a Singapore Citizen who owns two residential properties immediately before acquiring the additional interest; or
- a Singapore Permanent Resident who owns one residential property immediately before acquiring the additional interest.
- For instruments executed on or after 27 Apr 2023, the remission applies to a Singapore Permanent Resident who owns two residential properties immediately before acquiring the additional interest.

Where there is more than one relevant individual, the ABSD payable after remission shall be based on the highest applicable rate among the relevant individuals in column (C).
- Any other joint transferees under the instrument must have a lower applicable ABSD rate as compared to the relevant individual before the remission.
- Property is not held as a partnership property.
- For instruments executed on or after 9 May 2022, the property is not held on trust.

How to Apply
You can stamp at myTax Portal (Stamp Duty Login) to obtain the remission certificate.
If the stamping was submitted without the partial ABSD remission, please proceed to submit a request for assessment via myTax Portal (Stamp Duty Login) > “Request” > “Request for Assessment/Appeal for Waiver” with a copy of the liable document and the ABSD Declaration Form. Requests are generally processed within 2 months from receipt of complete information.
