Your post-tax filing FAQs answered
We have compiled the top four questions after tax filing to help you stay informed:
“I have filed my personal income tax. When will I receive my tax bill?”
Most taxpayers should receive their tax bills, also known as the Notice of Assessment (NOA), from end April 2025 to end September 2025.
If you have subscribed to e-Notifications from IRAS, you will receive an SMS and/or email notification when you tax bill is finalised.
“When do I need to make payment after receiving my tax bill?”
Income tax is payable within one month from the date of your tax bill. You can pay your tax through GIRO, AXS or Internet Banking.
Find out more about the different payment modes at: www. iras.gov.sg/quick-links/payments.
“I discovered an error in my tax bill. How can I make changes?”
You can use the ‘Amend Tax Bill’ (previously ‘Object to Assessment’) digital service at myTax Portal to make changes to your tax bill.
“I noticed that IRAS has made deductions from my bank account, but I haven’t received my tax bill yet. Why is that so?”
If you are on GIRO, here’s how your tax payments work:
Your tax is paid in 12 monthly instalment from May to April of the following year, under a Provisional Instalment Plan (IPP).
The PIP amount is based on either your previous year’s tax assessment or an estimate of your tax payable for the current year. The tax instalments will be revised subsequently when your current tax bill is finalised.
